Location Based Services are services that operate on the basis of the location of a user or object. An example is the real time localisation of your employees, for instance via an intranet site.
In most cases we have a GPS system in mind in combination with a communication system. But did you know this is also possible with a simple cellular phone? This money-saving solution prevents an expensive investment in a GPS system. Backstage the cellular phone operator sends a special sms which makes it possible to determine the distance between the cellular phone and the mast. He provides Studio Emma a geographical location, which we translate in a user friendly form for you.
Studio Emma offers you an application, if necessary adapted to your specific needs, which enables you to consult the position of an employee at any time in real time. After picking out an employee and pushing the button, you will see the actual whereabouts of an employee on a map and furthermore a summary of the locations visited earlier. It is also possible to let the system determine the position of your employees on a regular basis.
You receive a telephone call and have to send out someone urgently? No problem, check out who is the closest by means of our LBS system and dispatch that person. An additional advantage: you always know the whereabouts of your employees.
Examples: road services, ambulance, taxi companies, transporters, sales teams, technicians, distribution services, carriers...
Thanks to the tracking software you can see the complete route of a person or object. As this system has to memorise information about locations constantly, the use of a GPS and a good communication system ( GPRS ) will be necessary.
Moreover the tracking software informs you about the average speed (over a short period of time), stopping times, etc. In addition, a communication software can be connected to a board computer in order to provide you more precise speeds, consumption data etc.
Studio Emma offers you this software custom-made and fully integrated in your actual applications!
